Here's a look of what to expect with our Tour​s​:
We would provide an educational session about the Selected Subject.  Normally takes 45 minutes to 1-hour, and includes a Free Take-Home Gift.

($2 OFF Discount  when booking Multiple Tours on the same day)

After that the children will be able to see and interact with all of the animals.


If you are interested in a longer tour, 

We can add on a Hand-made Beeswax Candle Craft for the children, which would be $3 per participant.  The craft takes 15 minutes or so, depending on  participants. 

You may also consider adding on our "Nature Scavenger Hunt, " which takes about 30 minutes, and costs $3.

You will also have the opportunity to shop at our On-Farm Gift Shop.

You are welcome to bring packed lunches to enjoy, inside  or outside by the pond or under the shade of our walnut trees.   

We accommodate groups large and small, pre-K-12 to seniors citizens!

We personally want invite your family, class, group, etc to schedule at time come to the Summer Smiles Honey Farm for one of our Educational Tours.

Our tours are offered year round; snow, rain, or shine. 

As a sustainable farm and apiary, we will introduce you to the amazing world of honey bees, and you'll learn more about what you can do to help restore them, as well as gaining a better understanding of quality locally produced food.

Kids Mini-Camps

1 or 2 day mini-camp at the Summer Smiles Honey Farm! 

Day 1 is packed full with learning about the honeybees and where honey comes from, suiting up for real hive inspections, make hive observations and writing, extracting raw honey (if ready to harvest), and also make a beeswax craft.   10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Day 2 is the children will learn how we grow our own food and provide food for the bees!  They will get to work and care for the garden, plant seeds, learn about healthy soil, beneficial insects, and composting! 

We will forage for fresh ingredients to make a healthy Farm-to-Table snack.  

Other activities include a scavenger hunt, a nature walk, nature observations and writing, exploring the farm, and an old fashioned four-square game or kickball.  9 a.m. to 4 p.m

Healthy Snacks provided for both days.   Children will receive complimentary t-shirt.

* 1 Day $85 (includes 2 healthy snacks and organic, non-GMO lunch)

*  2-Day $145 (includes organic, non-GMO breakfast on 2nd day only,

lunch for both days, and 2 snacks for both days)   

*  Overnight or tent camping is $15 per person (campers required to bring all supplies needed)

Adult Workshops

 Wild Edibles Workshop 4-week Series: This multi-series, hands on workshop will give you better understanding of how to use and store the plentiful edibles around us.

The next 4 Wednesdays. Beginning Wed, Oct 24th to Nov, 14th, From 6-8pm. $35 per class or $120 for all 4.
Oct 24th:. Learn about Sheephead Mushrooms (aka Hen of the Woods, or also Mitake): where/how to find, clean, prepare, store, can and re-plant them (you get free starts of your own)

October 31st: Apples/pears: fresh use, canning sauce & butters, helpful tools, drying, juice, cider, vinegar
Nov 7th: Black Walnuts:. Picking tips, how to clean & crack, dry, prepare, store, nutritional value, making syrup, and more! Free seedlings to start your own trees.

November 14th: Watercress/Horseradish

Foraging Workshop: Learn about the Wild Edibles among us!  Choose the Forage-to-Table option to learn how prepare and eat what delicacies we find!  1-hr $95, 2-hr is $180, or 3-hr is $255  *This workshop can be taken anywhere!  If you have land, or places you frequent, we can come to you!  Schedule Now!  

Black Walnut Workshop: $45 per person or $80 per couple

Bread Making Workshop: $45 per person or $80 per couple, 1-hr  Sampling included! :)

Hands on Soap Making: $150 or $200 per couple​, 2-hours, make 2# SOAP!​

Hand rolled candle making: starting at $35 or $60 per couple​ ​30-45 min

Bee Keeper Workshops:  $125 or $200 couple 2-hr workshop.  You will be fully suited and handle the bees just a real beekeeper!  

Or choose 30-minute workshops for $35 per person or $60 per couple.
